My husband and I spent our professional careers in Fredericksburg, Va. We retired and moved to Florida approximately 80 miles North of Tampa in a golfing development called Citrus Hills.  Citrus Hills has all the amenities you could want including an activity center with an exercise area with more than 100 machines, and an Olympic size pool and spa.  We still like to travel, especially in July and August because the weather is terrible then, extremely hot and humid.

 We have always enjoyed traveling.  We have been to more that 50 countries including a 19 day safari in Kenya and Tanzania, Africa.  There are still more that I would like to go to – India, Egypt, and Antarctica. I will get to those places some day.  Even though we have traveled extensively outside the US, we find that there is so much to see right here. There are 2 states that we have not been to, Kentucky and Hawaii.  We will get there also. My favorite areas are the North West and the Mid West.

We have 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Our family is spread out, one family near Chicago, 2 families is Fredericksburg, Virginia, 1 family in Calabash, North Carolina, 1 family in St Cloud, Florida.  Grandchildren live in Portland, Oregon, Calabash, North Carolina,

My husband is on dialysis, so we have opted to go on home dialysis.  Being on home dialysis allows us to travel wherever we want in our RV.  Otherwise it would be a big problem.  Another big plus, is I am able to cook to stay within the limits of his diet, which is very strict.

We talked about getting a RV for 30 years and finally started out with a Pleasure Way, which is very small.  We traded the Pleasure Way for a  36 foot Newmar Ventana RV, and we love it.  I found it very easy to drive.

Having the RV makes it so easy to visit our kids and grandchildren.  We are not a burden on them during our visits.

I am doing this web site because I have a passion for traveling in the RV.  Maybe, with my experience I can be of help to some people.  In the future  I plan to be a full time RV'er.
